For many, the holiday season is a time of joy, peace, fun, and family. But for others, the season can create additional stress and feelings of loneliness or sadness. People may be extra emotional, possibly cranky, and even mean during this time of year. If you’re a customer service professional like me, you might need to remind yourself of this fact so you can empathize with those less-than-jolly customers!

Here are a few ways you can managing the stress of the season and have a happy holiday:

  • Don’t over schedule yourself.
  • Stop to enjoy your hard work.
  • Spend time with people who care about you.
  • Stay active.
  • Allow time for yourself.

  1. I love your point that at the end of the day, the togetherness and the memories made and the ultimate holiday gift. If we all keep that in mind, it would be easier to bust holiday stress when it rears its ugly head. The key is simply to be balanced in all that we do, and to focus on our blessings.
