Thanks to advancements in technology such as smartphones, laptops, and tablets, there are a number of ways for people to find just about anything they’re looking for. This can include comparison shopping, consumer reports, and finding information about a particular product or service, whether you want to obtain it or you already have it. The list of possibilities is endless.

As an active consumer, I am glad that most of my favorite companies have well maintained websites I can use to access a lot of information in a very short amount of time. I consider this to be one of the best types of customer service that a company can offer to a consumer! I especially like the websites where I can create my own account and track my personal information that pertains to that business. An example of this would be my insurance carrier. I have an online account with them and in no time at all, I can log in and pay my insurance bill each month without having to waste a check, a stamp, or any time waiting on hold for a customer service representative!

Great customer service has expanded even beyond websites! Most companies today have some sort of app for their products or service. One of my favorite apps on my smart phone is the Meijer app. It is synced right with my mPerks account and I can save money just by using it. I love how easy it is to find a coupon or see the ads for the week. Most trips to Meijer make me really happy because I feel like that company really cares about me, all because of the great coupons and discounts I get from using their app on my phone.
