	Blog editor Shonda Vorst is Central’s Senior Communications Specialist. She serves as Central’s Facebook coordinator and editor of our agency publication, the Centralizer. Shonda has a bachelors degree in Journalism from Bowling Green State University and has earned her Associate in Insurance Services designation.

	Rich Arney is a Senior Projects Coordinator in Central’s IT Department. He has worked in the department for 14 years, seven in Technical Systems as a Systems Programmer/Analyst and seven years in IT Services as a Project Coordinator. Rich is a graduate of Bluffton College with a bachelors degree in Computer Science. He has also taught several adult-education computer courses.

	Jason Brown is our Commercial Underwriting Manager and has over 24 years experience in insurance. A graduate of Indiana University, Jason has earned the Certified Insurance Counselor, Associate in Claims and Associate in Risk Management designations. In his spare time Jason is active in the community working with kids in sports and music, and officiating high school basketball in Indiana.

	A graduate of The Ohio State University, RJ Coleman has been with Central’s claims department for more than four years. He has earned the Associate in General Insurance and Associate in Claims designations. RJ’s claims to fame: he was a member of the Buckeyes’ 2002 National Championship and 2005 Big Ten Championship teams … and he can eat two Chipotle burritos in under 7 minutes!

	Scott Etzler is Central’s Risk Manager, responsible for countrywide coordination and control of our Loss Control and Treaty Reinsurance programs, Premium Audit, and Underwriting Operations. Scott has a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indiana Tech and an MBA from the University of St. Francis. During his seven years with Central he has earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

	A native of North Carolina, Jeff Foster has nearly two decades of experience in underwriting personal insurance. Jeff has worked for Central Mutual for 11 years and graduated with honors in 1991 from Wingate University with a B.S. in Communication Studies and Journalism.

	Staff Commercial Underwriter Pam Kabanuk has been with Central for over 25 years, working 15 years in Central’s excess and surplus lines agency, Central Insurex, as a long-haul truck underwriter, and the last 11 years as a Commercial Underwriter for Central. Pam has earned her CPCU, CIC, and AU designations.

	Matt Korte has been with Central’s IT department for 13 years and currently serves as the group manager for Commercial Lines. He is a graduate of Rhodes State College and has earned his Associate in General Insurance.

	Scott Marshall is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in business management at Indiana Tech, with future plans to obtain his masters. Scott works in the services department at Central, as a personal lines representative and is also a member of the social media team. He has been with the company for seven years.

	Scott Mills has been with Central’s IT department for over 34 years and currently serves as the group manager for Management Reporting, Accounting and Human Resources. Scott has a bachelors degree from Case Western Reserve University and a masters degree from Kansas State University, along with additional IT coursework at the Ohio State University. During his years with Central, he earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Certified Insurance Data Manager designations.

	Scott Mull is the Property Specialist for the Central Regional Office of Central Mutual Insurance. Scott has over twelve years of claims handling experience and has been with Central for five years. Scott is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelors degree in political science. During his insurance career, Scott has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Claims, and Senior Claim Law Associate designations.

	Senior Loss Control Consultant David Thompson works from our Central Regional Office, covering the territories of Illinois, western and central Indiana, and southwestern Michigan. He has worked in the insurance industry as a Loss Control Consultant for 26 years. David has earned his bachelors degree in Occupational Safety from Illinois State University.

	Cheryl Yearling earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Management designations, and is a graduate of Rhodes State College. A senior member of Central’s Human Resources area, Cheryl serves as Employment Manager and oversees our Training and Education Department.

	Guest Blogger John Tessier is the Signature Account Manager at Farrell Backlund Insurance in Taunton, MA. John also blogs for Farrell Backlund’s “Above & Beyond: The Blog.” He graduated from UMASS Amherst with a bachelors degree in communications, and has been working in the insurance field servicing clients for the past eight years. John also moonlights as a journalist for The Middleboro Gazette.
